Indian telecom’s newcomer, Reliance Jio, withdrew its ‘Summer Surprise’ offer in the face of TRAI opposition, but Reliance Jio has some good news to share with its customers i.e The new Dhan Dhana Dhan Offer.
What is Jio’s Dhan Dhana Dhan Offer??
Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited yesterday launched the “Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan Offer”, which introduces a “Rs 309 all-unlimited plan” with special benefits for the Reliance Jio prime members.
The company declared yesterday that the “Jio Summer Surprise” has been completely withdrawn, following the advice of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
They telecom giant also claimed that this new offer is aimed at motivating Jio subscribers to live the digital life without any condition.
Rs 309 plan
Under the new Rs 309 plan, customers can use unlimited data (1GB per day at 4G speed), SMS and call for three months on the first recharge.
Rs 509 plan
Jio also announced the “Rs 509 ALL UNLIMITED PLAN” for daily high data customers offering Unlimited data (2GB per day at 4G speed), SMS and calling for three months on the first recharge.
Taking into consideration, the special benefits that are available to “Jio Prime members”, users who were unable to subscribe to “Jio Prime” for whatever reason can to do so now by paying Rs 608 (Jio Prime + recharge price) or Rs 408 to reap these benefits.
Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan Offer Goes Live
These schemes will be available starting 11th April 2017 onwards.
Prevailing Jio users who have not done their initial recharge till now will have to do so by 15 April 2017 to prevent discontinuation of services.
The company is currently implementing the big migration from free to paid services in the world, receivable to the short time period it has at hand after TRAI intervened.
The decision presents Jio’s intention to make complete use of this opportunity to utilize the most appealing tariff plans in the industry, which are also unparalleled internationally.
In less than a week after Reliance Jio had made its announcement about the ‘Summer Surprise’ scheme, the 4G newcomer had to take a move back.
After a strict discussion with TRAI, Jio discontinued its “complimentary offers”, but the customers who have already signed up could utilize the free data for next three months.
According to other telecom regulators and TRAI, the pouring offers from Reliance Jio violated the 2002 TRAI letter that permits such offers for only 90 days.
On March 31, when it was expected that telecom 4G newbie Jio would end its Prime plan, the giant had different plans for its users.
Jio then extended the deadline for purchasing its “Jio Prime membership plan” as well as the Rs 303 plan to April 15, 2017.
The company also went so far as to declare that this is “one of the most prosperous customer privilege programs anywhere globally”.
