He mostly played negative roles and is lovingly remembered for his performance as Mogambo in the film “Mr. India”, “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha”, “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, “Chachi 420”, “Karan Arjun” and “Nayak.”
