1. Onion Raita

Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
Cooking Time: 15 Minutes

a) 50 gm sliced onions

b) 10 gm green chilies

c) 300 gm yogurt

d) 50 ml cream

e) Salt to taste

f) Garnish chili powder roasted cumin crushed

g) 5 gm roasted cumin, crushed

h) 10 gm coriander leaves

How to prepare Onion Raita

a) Whisk the yogurt along with the salt and cream.

b) Mix in the coriander leaves, cumin powder, chopped green chilies and sliced onions.

c) Serve garnished with chili and cumin powder.

2. Pineapple Raita

Cooking Time: 10 Minutes

Pineapple Raita


a) 2 cups yogurt

b) 2 cups chopped pineapple

c) 2 tsp salt

d) 1/4 tsp powdered red pepper

1/4 tsp powdered black pepper

2 tsp roasted and powdered cumin seeds

2 Tbsp chopped coriander leaves.

How to prepare Pineapple Raita

a) Beat the yogurt until it becomes smooth.

b) Add the 1 tsp of the cumin seed powder salt, 1 tbsp coriander leaves, black pepper and mix it well.

c) In case there is excess liquid, squeeze out the pineapple and add it to the yogurt mixture.

d) Transfer it to a serving bowl and garnish with the rest of the coriander leaves, cumin powder, and red pepper and serve chilled.

3. Cucumber Raita

Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
Cooking Time: 10 Minutes

a) 1/2 onion chopped

b) A bowl of curd

c) 1/2 cucumber chopped

d) Salt to flavor

e) 1/2 tsp red chili powder

f) Handful coriander leaves chopped

g) 1 lemon

How to prepare Cucumber Raita

a) Take the curd and add onion, lemon juice, and cucumber.

b) Season it with coriander leaves, salt, and red chili powder.

c) Mix it all.

a) 1 big bowl of curd

b) 1/2 cucumber, chopped

c) 1 beetroot, boiled, peeled and pureed

d) 1/2 onion, chopped

e) Coriander leaves, chopped

f) Salt to taste

How to prepare Beetroot Raita

a) In a blender add the beetroot puree and curd.

b) Mix and strain in a bowl which should be pink in color.

c) Now, add the cucumbers, chopped onions and salt to the bowl.

d) Mix and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.

5. Green Chilly Raita

Cooking Time: 10 Minutes

Green Chilli Raita


a) 1 bowl yogurt

b) A pinch of red chilies

c) 2- 3 Tbsp green chilies, finely chopped

d) A handful of fresh coriander leaves, chopped fine

e) A pinch of salt

How to prepare Green Chilly Raita

a) In a bowl, mix the yogurt, green chilies, coriander leaves and salt.

b) Serve it chilled.
