14 Best Home Remedies For Corns And Calluses


At some point in time, you may develop corn and calluses on the hands and feet. Well, they are not dangerous at all, but they make your life hell as they are quite painful. These hardened skin layers may take away the beauty of your hands and feet. So, check out the home remedies to remove them fast.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

You Will Need:

a) 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
b) Hot water
c) Cotton ball
d) 1 or 2 drops tea tree oil

Steps:

a) Soak your feet in hot water for some time.
b) Apply apple cider vinegar on the corn with one cotton ball.
c) Leave the vinegar to dry and then use tea tree oil on the affected part.
Note: Avoid rinsing it.
d) Use this tip on the foot corn every day.

2. Epsom Salt

You Will Need:

a) Hot water
b) 1 cup Epsom salt
c) Tiny basin
d) Pumice stone

Steps:

a) Add Epsom salt to hot water it the basin and soak your feet into it for about 10 to 15minutes.
b) After the skin gets soft, use the pumice stone to scrub off the dead skin on the top of the affected area.
c) Do this every day for a couple of days after having a shower.

3. Baking Soda

You Will Need:

a) 1 tbsp water
b) 1 tbsp baking soda
c) 1 tsp lime juice (optional)

Steps:

a) Combine baking soda and water to make a paste.
b) Apply this paste over the callus or corns.
c) Leave it overnight.
d) Do this for 5 to 7 days every night.

Note: If you are using this paste to the toes, then put the cotton balls between your toes to keep them separated.

Caution:

Avoid touching the paste to the other part as sit will dry up your healthy skin.

4. Garlic

You Will Need:

a) 1 Garlic clove
b) Crepe bandage

Steps:

a) Cut the garlic clove into two halves and rub the one half on the corns for 1 minute.
b) Put the other half on the corn and cover it with a crepe bandage.
c) Rinse off the area the next morning as you usually do.
d) Do this every night.

5. Turpentine Oil

You Will Need:

a) 1 clean cloth
b) Turpentine oil
c) Ice cubes

Steps:

a) Rub the ice cube on the corn for 1 to 3 minutes.
b) Soak the cloth in turpentine oil and wrap this around the corn for few minutes.
c) Do this few times a day.

6. Papaya

You Will Need:

a) Papaya

Steps:

a) Apply a tiny piece of papaya or its juice on the affected part.
b) Leave it the whole night.
c) Repeat this tip till the corn dries up.

7. Licorice

You Will Need:

a) Mustard oil
b) 4 licorice roots

Steps:

a) Take licorice stick and form a paste out of it by adding mustard oil.
b) Apply this to the corn before sleeping.
c) Use hot water to rinse it off.
d) Do this every night for a couple of days to eliminate foot corns and calluses.

8. Turmeric

You Will Need:

a) 1 and 1/2 tbsp honey
b) 1 tbsp turmeric powder

Steps:

a) Make a thick paste out of honey and turmeric powder.
b) Apply this to the corn and leave the paste to dry.
c) Wash it after it gets dried.
d) Use this paste two times a day for about 2 to 3 days.

9. Pineapple

You Will Need:

a) Pineapple
b) Bandage

Steps:

a) Take one piece of pineapple and put this overnight on the corn.
b) With a bandage, put this in its place.
c) Do this whole night.

10. Lemon

You Will Need:

a) 1 lemon slice
b) Bandage

Steps:

a) Apply one lemon slice on the corn and set it with a bandage.
b) Leave it the whole night till there is no trace of the corn.

11. Onion

You Will Need:

a) Gauze
b) Onion juice

Steps:

a) Put one onion slice on the corn and set it using gauze.
b) Leave it overnight and shed it off in the morning.
c) Do this daily for one week.

12. Bread

You Will Need:

a) White vinegar
b) 1 bread piece
c) Gauze

Steps:

a) Soak bread in the vinegar and put this on the affected area.
b) Set it with the gauze or plastic wrap.
