Adventure lovers in Brazil have made an unofficial world record for the most flyers (around 245 people) to take part in a bungee jump. Earlier it was 149 people.
This video of a bunch of people jumping off a bridge will make your jaw dropped. It was performed on Sunday in Hortolandia of Brazil, almost 1 hour from Sao Paulo.
In this action-packed stunt, men and women simultaneously rope-jumped off a 30-metre-high ridge and rolled like a pendulum.
And in video footage, the participants are seen wearing white helmets while tied together with the ropes.
The squad unofficially broke the previous record of a massive jump that was made at the same place. Although, Guinness World Records has not issued an official statement of a world record yet.
Rope-jumping is an exciting adventure sport in which people jump from a high height while tied to a nylon rope, unlike bungee jumping that doesn’t bounce back.
The jumpers swung back and forth till they come to a standstill, with some descending into the water below and others hiking back up to the bridge.
A previous record was set in Tver, Russia in July 2012. According to the grand event organizers, approximately 20 kilometers of rope was used along with1,000 harnesses.
Alan Fereira, the Stunt organizer, said that a total 400 group of people were involved in the whole project.
Fereira examined every single rope before the massive jump, as the feat needed the assembly of complicated bolts and harnesses used for professional mountaineering.
Laercio Dos Santos described this event as a “CRAZY UNIQUE FEELING.” He added: “IT WAS AN UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCE.”
“YOU JUMP, AND IT’S PURE ADRELANINE, AND YOU JUST GO.”
Alvaro Francisco, who also a participant said that he is proud of his accomplishment.
“I SUFFERED A HEART ATTACK. I WASN’T WALKING OR SPEAKING, AND TODAY I AM A WORLD RECORD HOLDER”.
