On Tuesday, The founder of Reliance Foundation Smt Nita Dalal Mukesh Ambani was awarded the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Award.
She was honored during the National Sports And Adventure Awards ceremony 2017 in Sports for Development category at New Delhi’s Rashtrapati Bhawan by the Indian president Ramnath Kovind.
Among those present in the front row of guests were Shri Vijay Goel, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, RIL group President, daughter of Nita Ambani, Isha Mukesh Ambani, and MP Parimal Nathwani Rajya Sabha member.
The foundation’s chairperson accepted the award for its contribution in encouragement of sports.
President of India Shri Kovind also communicated with fourteen Young Sports winners who address the award ceremony.
Four amongst them were Gold medalists in Asian School Championships for Athletics 2015, 9 were Gold medalists in Gymnasiade run by International School Sports Federation in 2016 and 1 Gold medalist in Asian School Championship for Swimming in the year 2016.
