TIRUPATI: On Wednesday, A nine-month-old baby boy was kidnapped from a couple in front of the Venkateswara temple complex in Tirumala in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.
The police said that the kidnapping happened early morning when the couple was sleeping with their four children after offering prayers in the open area of Golla Mantapam in front of the temple.
The police said that the couple K Venkatesh and Ratnamma hailing from Uravakonda in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh woke up at 6.30 a.m. Wednesday and get shocked when they found their baby missing.
In a panic, they searched the surrounding areas and rushed to the police for the missing complaint.
This is not the first time that a baby was stolen in one of the busiest temples in the India. Many times call for security and checks have been called yet there seems to be no solution to this crime.
In January this year, a four-year-old girl was kidnapped from a couple by a man from pilgrim amenities complex at Tirumala.
That girl was later rescued from a bus by travelers at Mahbubnagar in Telangana.
Despite CCTV cameras, many parents continue to lose their children and live in pain. This is one of that incident that has come to limelight.
The parents filed a complaint with police, who then scanned the whole CCTV footage which showed the baby boy being carried away by an unknown couple.
Footage and Photographs of the suspected child-snatchers were released to the media and posted on the social media as well. The police said that a search was on to seize the culprits.
The Temple authorities look for the solution, they demanded a thorough investigation and stringent action.
