A huge fire has engulfed a 27-story Grenfell tower block in Latimer Road, near Notting Hill, West London. The fire broke out on Wednesday.
Grenfell Tower is located in North Kensington in West London, near the Notting Hill and Latimer Road Underground station.
Before the blaze, Grenfell tower block contains 120 apartments over 27 floors.
40 fire trucks and 200 firefighters deployed….!!
London Fire Brigade said that at least 40 fire trucks and 200 firefighters have been deployed to tackle the massive blaze to the tower, as rescue workers try to evacuate the apartment in Lancaster West Estate in North Kensington.
People still remain trapped and screaming from inside….!!
The Grenfell Tower fire was reported at 01:16 BST. The Met Police said people were being cured for “a range of injuries”. People saw jumping from the building.
Evacuation process is still going on with people on the scene reporting that buildings near the Grenfell Tower are being evacuated due to falling debris.
Huge smoke could be seen from miles away…..
The whole building is on fire and spreading fast…..!!
The fire broke out before daybreak local time when most of the building’s residents would have still been in bed. Streets around the tower have been sealed off.
London police said that the two people are currently being treated for smoke inhalation and they are waiting for updates on further injuries.
Smoke halted rescue efforts…!!
This is because the fires continued to burn with families trapped inside the building.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said a “major incident” had been declared.
Around 04:00 BST, London Police said: “Residents continue to be evacuated from the tower block.”
Chunks of the building are falling off in flames…

The cause of the fire not yet known…!!
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined by London Fire Brigade. However, it’s been suggested it may have been sparked by an exploding electrical appliance.
More than 20 ambulances have been deployed to the spot…!!
Paramedics are treating the injured people and others evacuated from the engulfed building.
200 people injured…!!
Around 200 people were injured. It was a terrifying scene outside the apartment block.

Fire is from 2nd to top floor….
In a statement posted on Facebook, the service said the fire is from the second floor to the top floor of the 27-floor building.
The sounds of helicopters and sirens are non-stop as local residents were evacuated from the building.

Grenfell Tower was built in the 1970s and according to property firm Rydon, it is subjected to a $10.9 million redevelopment recently.
