Full elimination is vital….
The squad of doctors, led by Dr. Rashide Yaacob, said that the full removal of the malformed twin is essential. He wrote: ‘THERE IS A CHANCE OF MALIGNANT RECURRENCE IF ANY OF THE TISSUE IS NOT FULLY EXCISED”.
The mass is highly vascular with many feeding vessels. Foetus big size made surgery more complicated as there is a high chance of wounding nearby structures. The boy has since recovered well.
