4 Perfect Braid Hairstyles For ‘Valentine’s Day’!!

1. Four-Strand Slide-Up Braid

This four strand braid hairstyle is an intricate knot braid that gives a fantastic look to the wearer. It works best on the medium to long hair.

Steps:

a) Take the hairs with tail comb about four inches to the left of the middle sections.
b) Divide it into four equal strands using fingers and level them from 1 to 4.
c) Working from the right (1) to the left (4), start with three strands on the right.
d) Pass strand one over strand 2 and then under strand 3.
e) Working from the left (4) to right (1), ignore strand 1, cross-strand four under strand 3 and then over strand number 2.
f) Do it over and over again.

g) Continue this till you get the end while going from right to left and then from left to right.
h) In the end, identify the middle strand and then hold it.
i) Fold all another hair strand over middle one to make one strand like ‘S braid.’
j) Palm end of the section, pinch and push it upwards like S Braid.
g) At the top of the braid, pull outward and loosen to unveil a four-strand.
h) Set the ends with rubber bands and fix it into place with your grips.

2. Reverse Chinese Ladder Braid

You will need:

a) Rat-tail comb
b) Hairbrush
c) Hair rubber bands
d) Hairspray (optional)
e) Spray bottle

Time needed: 3 to 5 minutes
Skill required: medium

Steps:

a) Choose a big hair section on the top.
b) Fix with a tiny rubber band at the head’s back.
c) Go back, pull and loosen on the top to make it look bouncy.
d) Take a tiny piece of your ponytail, wrap it around the rubber band and pin in the back side.
e) Select a small hairpiece of your ponytail on one side.
f) Loop it behind the ponytail in such a way that you are holding the half loop on the one side and the end part on the other.

g) Take the ends and pass it over the top of the ponytail and via the loop.
h) Now, pull it down to tighten the stitches.
i) Select another small hairpiece from the same side and mix it with the tail of your first stitch.
j) Repeat the steps from d) to h) and you have two complete stitches.
k) Continue this till your end pieces begin to stick out on the sides.
l) Fix your ends with ponytail using tiny rubber bands.
m) Choose a small part outside from your ponytail and wrap the bottom rubber band.
n) Set this using bobby pins and finish it with hairspray!!.

3. Crochet Loop Braid

Steps:

a) Select hairs and make a thick loop out of it.
b) Then, softly pull the hair strand into it.
c) Stick your index finger and hold it in such a way that you can bring this to the loop.
d) Continue doing this and take the hair from the right hair strand.
e) Do this till you reach the end or near to the ears.
f) After reaching the side of the ear, make the similar loop, but this time you don’t need to add the hairs to the loop.
g) Keep doing this on another side too.
h) Choose some hair and make a full loop out of it.
i) Softly, pull the hair strand and stick your index finger to hold your index finger so that you can bring this to loop.
j) Take the hairs from the right hair strand and keep doing this till you reach all the way down.
k) Set it using rubber bands and curl the rest of the hairs using a curler.
l) Finally, use the hairspray.
