Mysore (Karnataka): 13-year-old Kushi has set a new world record after performing awesome yoga performance.
She performed 15 one of the toughest yoga asanas “Niraalamba Poorna Chakrasana” with so much ease 15 times under 60 seconds.
She performed at the Community Hall of Mysore’s RBI Nagar in the presence of Golden Book of World Records representative.
Kalashree awardee and Mysuru’s yoga champ, H. Kushi attempted a World Record for ‘Back Plank Recline Cruncher Under Yogic Practice.’
MEET KUSHI HEMACHANDRA
During her practice session, Kushi normally used to do the asana 13 times but during the main event, she beat her own record as well as the world record by doing it 15 times and entered in Golden Book of World Records.
Khushi, daughter of RBI officer Hemachandra, has received national and international medals for her expert yoga skills. She even started doing yoga less than three years ago.
Kushi had breathing problem earlier…!!
In her childhood, Kushi had some problems in breathing. Then her father took her to a Yoga Guru in an attempt to look for its solution.
Under his guidance, Kushi overcame this health issue but also developed in her an interest in Yoga. After getting fully treated, she decided to continue the yoga practice.
It was her sheer determination that she took the challenge to go for the “world record” and accomplished it.
Her father Hemachandra said:
Kushi had some breathing issues but when she joined yoga classes, breathing issue was resolved. And now she is a world-record holder”.
She is a 9th standard student at St. Joseph’s Central School in Vijayanagar.
Kushi spoke after performing and said that she wanted to create a World Record and has done it with the support of her lovable parents. She added that she wants to become a “yoga teacher.”
“I want to be a yoga teacher and want to do more records. At the same time, want to be IAS officer in future.”
Her father expressing happiness over his daughter’s success said that he would support and encourage Kushi in future too.
On Sunday, Santosh Agarwal who is the Golden Book Of Records representative handed over the certificate to Khushi.
In the year 2014, Kushi has also clinched silver in international Yoga competition below 17 years category in China.
And in the year 2016, she got two golds for solo artistic and rhythmic pair, two silvers in four events in Vietnam.
