On Tuesday, around 4 AM, four suicide terrorists attacked BSF camp (182nd battalion) near Srinagar airport killing.
Nearly, two jawans injured, three militants plus BSF trooper dead in an eight-hour operation.
The attackers were carrying a huge arsenal of explosives and guns. Morning flights were canceled for nearly five hours as more activists suspected to be veiling inside a building at BSF camp and long delays all the day were anticipated.

Muneer Khan, Inspector general earlier said that one terrorist had been killed and three Border Security Force personnel were wounded.
Nearly after an hour, the cop sources said another terrorist had been killed, while one of the injured BSF jawans succumbed injuries.
The cop source added:
“THE RESIDENTIAL QUARTERS OF BSF IS SAFE.”
A militant group claimed that the terror attack on the BSF camp which comes a little over a month post a similar incident in the Jammu and Kashmir police lines on August 26, 2017, when neatly eight security personnel lost their lives.

A CRPF camp and An Indian Air Force base are located near to where the attack happened. The airport staff and commuters were hindered at Humhama chowk that is a few kilometers before the entrance.
Later on, the travelers were allowed into the airport, but flights had yet to begin. According to Khan, suspicious activity was suspected in the Humhama district after gunfire was heard.

However, the security forces nearby the road leading up to the Srinagar airport, Khan added the facility was secure.
The attack came days post unknown shooters killed a Border Security Force personnel at his residence in Bandipora.
