On Thursday, the Allahabad high court will decide the future of Aarushi’s parents and dentist couple Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar in charge of murdering their 14-year-old daughter, Aarushi, and 45-year-old caretaker Hemraj Banjade in the year 2008.
Her family employs Hemraj in Noida, and the two were killed on the night of May 15-16 May 2008 at Aarushi Talwars’ home.
On the morning of May 16, 2008, barely eight days are left for her 14th birthday, and the girl was suspect lying dead with her throat cut in her bedroom in a flat number L-32 Jalvayu Vihar in Noida.
However, he was the primary suspect, but Hemraj went missing an early morning, and in a sensational twist, on May 17, the domestic worker was found in a blood pool on the terrace of their flat two days later.
The terrace door was found locked from inside.The division bench of the HC, including justices A K Mishra and B K Haryana, had reserved its judgment on September 7 on a plea registered by Talwars, fixing October 12, 2017, as the date for the decision.
At present, Talwars were serving their sentence in Ghaziabad’s Dasna jail…..
Allahabad High court may analyze some of the critical points in the case which formed the starting point for the trial court to jail the couple but have been interrogated the defense.
The court may find the reason behind the killing and also re-evaluate the proof of some vital witnesses as the defense had highlighted out during the trial that these witnesses were frankly questioned by the prosecution.
Aarushi’s parents were sentenced to life in jail by a CBI court in Ghaziabad….
Instantly after their murder, the UP Police drew complaint about inferior investigations and claimed of honor killing in the matter which was making top headlines nationally. And then the then CM, Mayawati, handed over this case to the CBI.
However, the probe Has many twists and turns when 2 CBI officers reached different results by evidence.
On Wednesday, writer of the book ‘Ek Thi Aarushi’ Sunil Maurya told:
“ON NOV 26, 2013, THE CBI DECLARED LIFE IMPRISONMENT TO THE TALWAR COUPLE. TOMORROW THE PLAE REGISTERED BY THEM WILL BE HEARD AND I BELIEVE THEY’LL GET JUSTICE”.
