SS Rajamouli’s film “Baahubali 2” has officially crossed the 1500 crore mark worldwide while Gadar’s Director Anil Sharma says that Baahubali 2 hasn’t broken any records.
Well, he has compared “Gadar” film with “Baahubali 2”.
Anil Sharma has claimed that his “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha” featuring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel is still the top-earning film.
He says that Gadar collection is of Rs 265 crore in 2001 when the ticket rates were Rs 25. It is near to Rs 5,000 crore today. So, how can Baahubali 2 break that record?
Actually, his statement is justified. When Gadar film was released, the ticket prices were too low i.e. Rs 25, whereas now, the ticket prices of Baahubali 2 film are near about Rs 150 to 200.
According to Anil Sharma, “Gadar: Ek prem Katha” was a bigger hit than Baahubali.
Baahubali 2: the conclusion has already shattered many records at the Indian as well as the Global Box Office and everyone is very much impressed.
Moreover, Baahubali 2 has crossed a whopping 1500 crores in just 23 days.

It seems as if the Gadar director Anil Sharma, is not at all happy with the success of this year’s big hit and the records that it has broken.
He credits Gadar which was released in 2001 for breaking all records and says that ‘Baahubali 2’ can never achieve that achievement.
Filmmaker Anil Sharma says Gadar had done a business of Rs 265 crore in 2001.
“As per valuation, it is Rs 5,000 Cr today and “Bahubali 2: the conclusion” has just reached Rs 1,500 crore, so no record has been broken”.
The director Anil was attending the mahurat function of his son Utkarsh’s debut film “Genius” and when a journalist asked him about Baahubali 2’s triumph and he said:
Further, Anil Sharma said that his film Gadar had already earned 5000 crores.
We are waiting for the director SS Rajamouli’s reaction on this. How do you think he will react to this statement?
Would Rajamouli act it positively or will the director give his own explanation too?
